Role Overview
We're looking for an experienced CompEx Electrician to carry out installation, maintenance, and testing work in hazardous areas across the UK.
This role involves regular travel and, at times, working away from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and maintain electrical systems in hazardous areas, in line with relevant standards and site procedures.
- Work in permit-controlled environments, following site rules, RAMS, and safe systems of work.
- Support (and where appropriate, supervise) site activities to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Complete job paperwork and certification as required.
Essential Qualifications / Requirements
- CompEx Ex01–Ex04 (Gas & Vapours)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (e.g. C&G 2357 or equivalent)
- Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391-52 or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- IPAF
- PASMA
- CompEx Ex05–Ex06 (Dust)
- CompEx Ex07–Ex08 (Petrol Forecourts)
Additional Information
- Minimum 2 years' electrical experience required.
- Work is primarily on the road, including travel and working away.
